This is the final step in the closeout process. An unconditional final lien waiver confirms that you’ve received full and final payment—including retainage—and permanently waives all lien rights on the project.
Because this waiver is unconditional, it becomes legally effective the moment you sign it. Submit it only after final payment clears so you don't waive rights prematurely.
